Repatriation FAQ

Q1. What is repatriation of remains?

It is the process of bringing your loved one back to their home country after a death abroad. We handle the paperwork, permits and flight arrangements so you don’t have to.

Q2. What should we do first after a death abroad?

Call us. We will guide you through the hospital and police formalities, contact the embassy and start the paperwork the same day. Our team is available 24 hours a day.

Q3. How long does repatriation take?

Most cases are completed in 3 to 7 days. The exact time depends on embassy approvals, document processing and flight availability.

Q4. How much does it cost?

For most destinations in Asia and Africa, the cost is usually between AED 6,000 and AED 10,000. For Europe and the Americas, it is typically AED 12,000 to AED 18,000. We give you a clear written quote before any work begins, with no hidden charges.

Q5. What documents are required?

In most cases: the death certificate, the passport and visa of the deceased, a No Objection Certificate from the embassy, and police clearance if the death was not natural. We collect, translate and attest everything on your behalf.

Q6. Can we send ashes instead of the body?

Yes. Cremation followed by ash repatriation is a simpler and more affordable option. We arrange the sealed urn, export permits and airline approval.

Q7. Is embalming required?

Yes. It is a legal requirement for international transport of human remains. The body is prepared at a licensed facility and placed in a sealed coffin that meets airline standards.

Q8. Can a family member travel on the same flight?

Yes, many families do. Passenger seats are booked separately from the cargo booking, and we help you coordinate both so you arrive together.

Q9. Who pays for repatriation?

In some cases the employer or the travel insurance of the deceased covers the cost. If not, the expense falls to the family. We can help you check the insurance policy before you commit to anything.

Q10. Can you arrange a medical flight for a patient instead?

Yes. If a patient needs to return home for treatment, we arrange air ambulance or a commercial flight with a medical escort, often within 24 to 48 hours.

Q11. Do you keep us updated during the process?

Yes. You get daily updates by email, and we set up a dedicated WhatsApp group for anything urgent. You always know exactly where things stand.
